Job Summary
This is a position for a development engineer in the team developing a Connector for Microsoft Outlook. The Sun Java System Connector for Microsoft Outlook is a plug-in software that enables the Sun Java System Messaging Server, Sun Java System Calendar Server, and Sun Java System Directory Server features and functionality to be available through Microsoft Outlook

Job Description
The job involves implementation of features, functionality and resolve issues reported by customer on Connector for Microsoft Outlook. The candidate should posses the following skills

Technical Skills
Must:
- Strong programming skills & experience with C & C++, STL on Windows.
- Should have experience in MS Win32 programming

- Should have experience in developing user interfaces on MS Windows, COM components & NT services
- Should have good working knowledge and understanding of multi-thread programming

Desirable:
- Experience with Messaging, Calendar & Directory protocols ( IMAP, POP, SMTP, RFC2445 , LDAP ) - Experience with MAPI, Exchange and Outlook would be a plus.

Other skills:
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Ability to implement independently as well as being a good team player
- Ability to handle tight short product schedule
- Must be able to work well with both a local team and remote team members.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

EXPERIENCE:
1-2 yrs. of relevant development experience

QUALIFICATION:
BS Computer Science or equivalent
